HCA Gulf Coast Division announced that it is building a 30-bed, acute care hospital in Pearland at the southwest intersection of Highway 288 and County Road 2234 (Shadow Creek Parkway). Pearland Medical Center will be built on the 48-acre site in Shadow Creek Ranch that is currently home to a full-service, freestanding 24-hour emergency department, imaging center and a 3-story, 80,000-square-foot medical office building.

Westside Library Grand Opening

The City of Pearland and Brazoria County have partnered to open a new Westside Library. The grand opening for the new 6,000 sq. feet facility is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15 at 10 a.m. at the library located at 2803 Business Center Drive, Suite 101 in Pearland. The grand opening ceremony will include brief remarks from local officials, a ribbon-cutting ceremony and will culminate with self-guided tours of the facility. Residents are invited to the grand opening which includes light refreshments.
