The Shadow Creek Ranch Sports Complex was approved in the bond election of 2007. The amenities advertised as part of that election are still included in the current design for Phase I of the park. These amenities include lighted softball/baseball fields, a soccer field, volleyball courts, parking, trails and a lawn amphitheater. The city is reviewing bids and should announce soon. They have told us they would update this page on their website as more information becomes available.
Shirley Dill Brothers Elementary - Alvin ISD Elementary School #17 - is currently being constructed at the northwest corner of Half Moon Bay and Broadway. It is scheduled be open for the 2017 school year.
Alvin Junior High #7 is being constructed on the northeast corner of FM518 and Kingsley Drive.
The Fort Bend ISD elementary school site on Kingsley and Shadow Creek Parkway was purchased years ago by the school district. They have not given us a schedule for when they plan on building the school. The planning committee carefully studies the district’s enrollment, growth patterns, future residential development, building capacities, and the condition of each school building. Once a determination regarding the need for the school is ready to announce we will post it here.
